If you haven’t noticed God whispers, He doesn’t yell, so we really have to be very sensitive to His voice. It has been interesting that as the setup continues, the smallest of occurrences become very enlightening, even profound.
I met with a woman the day after my car disappeared. The visit was very pleasant. I made a ShelfGenie rather sizeable sale and was on my way out the door. As usual, it is at this point that I make sure that I have everything, i.e. computer, samples, cell phone & keys (to the rental car???). Yes, you guessed it, no keys! So I look in the car and see what I think are the keys in the cupholder. Now I am on the verge of tears…………………..GOD, THIS REALLY ISN’T FUNNY!!
I call the rental place and they are going to send someone right out.
Subtle setup moment #1: They tell me that I had paid for coverage, unbeknownst to me, and the roadside service will be Free……………..REALLY GOD?
Subtle setup moment #2: The women fixes me a large cup of herbal tea and gives me two of the best chocolate & raspberry cookies. We proceed to her sunroom and just chat. She tells me that she lost her husband last summer and it’s been tough adjusting. It was just a calm, pleasant chat, which I am sure was orchestrated by God. How do I know? Because later I find out that the keys weren’t in the car, they were in my pants pocket!!
Sooooooo, I’ve decided not to press God into returning my car, because I really believe that He is guiding me to get a new one. I have my eye on the RAV4 and of course, now I see them everywhere! When I look at my finances, I would have NEVER considered a new car in the near or far distant future, but I am sure that God knows what He is doing.
Today’s devotional from The Spirit of Prophecy by Marsha Burns is as follows:
Don’t give up! The difficulties of recent days will pass, but you must press on. Keep moving forward seeking Me for wisdom and guidance. I will lead you through this valley of shadows and bring you into a place of peace and safety. Trust Me in all circumstances, says the Lord, for I will lead you to victory.
2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
His Setups are extremely subtle, so we must listen carefully and pay very close attention. As each day passes, I get more and more excited. I won’t lie and say that I don’t have moments when I focus on what I see and I battle against the spirits of fear & doubt, but I am always reminded that I have an expected end! Jeremiah 29:11
Take a Listen and Be Encouraged! ……..
