Journey of Obedience – My Journal (Introduction)

In late January of 2018, the Lord impressed upon me to host an Order Your Steps event.  It started as a Fall season event with a “New Beginning” theme, but evolved into a Mother’s day weekend event, which may not have been the best time!?!?  But interestingly enough, as I lined up the venue, vendors & even the speakers, everything seemed to fall into place.  So I published the Save the Date and I was off and running!!

Shortly thereafter, as you recall from my previous blog posts, the Lord said “Plant the Seed”, so I searched the scriptures and the Holy Spirit took me to Zechariah 8:11-13.

But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the Lord of hosts.  For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.

In Nelson’s NKJV Study Bible, it states that “While in Babylonian captivity, the people had been subject to God’s discipline.  Zechariah encouraged the people to focus on God’s chose of Jerusalem and that God had promised to come among His people and completely restore them.  Because of their obedience with regard to rebuilding the temple, they could now anticipate His Blessing”.

Mind you this was NEVER about me, nor the event itself.  God has a Purpose and a Plan for His people and we are called to be diligent in our efforts to serve Him.  So the Lord gave me a task … But when things didn’t happen the way that I THOUGHT they should, I began to wonder “What did I do wrong?”

Did you really hear God?

Did you say something wrong?

Did you do something wrong?

DOUBT AND FEAR TRIES TO TAKE OVER!!!  BUT GOD’S WORD WILL LITERALLY BOMBARD US!!!

In early January, I found a new zeal for God’s Word, even before the real journey began.  So I decided to start a journal to truly see what the Holy Spirit was saying…

Here’s my first entry  on February 25th, 2018:

“Peace comes after obedience.  We may NOT experience God’s peace until AFTER we do what He tells us to do!”  I’m not exactly sure who said it, but it was either Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church or Bishop TD Jakes.  I’ve been listening to them A LOT.

Then God’s Word said ….

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.  1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV

So, whatever happens from this point forward,

I gotta see it through,  BUT…

it’s NOT gonna be easy!

Now, a whole ‘nother month goes by and not ONE ticket sold.  What do I do now?

NEXT JOURNAL ENTRY #1:  MARCH, 2018

Stay Tuned….

Blog Chill Day # 6

I hope all is well.  It continues to get busy and I am so excited about what the Lord is doing!  I am going to stop apologizing for not writing a post, but just know that I will keep in touch.  I hope to have pictures of some of my recent accomplishments as well.

Today is an inspirational post and as always The Word comes to me first.  This is a very exciting and enlightening time for me.  I am enjoying the blessings of the Lord, but at times, it is somewhat unsettling.  I shared with my Pastor today that I felt this rumbling in my spirit and he told me to “Rest in the Lord”.  Although I did take a moment or two, to try to explain ….  then when we got home, my husband and I continued to discuss “my rumblings” at great length…. BUT then I decided just to go to the scriptures.

If you are a little unsettled in your spirit right now, here’s a Word for Us!
