Live an Un-cluttered Life

Think of the energy we exert when we avoid uncluttering our minds and decluttering our spaces. We convince ourselves that it’s easier to tidy around clutter than to organize or get rid of it.  We then become trapped and must do the inner work of un-layering, and the uncluttering, to get to that person that we were created to be. Always Remember that your Steps are Ordered!.

  • Realize your true purpose in life
  • Strive to achieve clarity and focus of your mind
  • Create an atmosphere of peace, harmony, and grace

Meet Candy H. Speight, Owner/Cert. Life Coach/Prof. Organizer – During her 32-year career at Xerox, she spent fifteen (15) years, as a Field Service Manager. Her primary role was to manage, coach and counsel people, not only in the work environment, but also from a personal perspective. As a professional organizer, for more than 10 years now, she has always wanted not only to organize various living spaces for my clients, which will always remain her passion. As we move forward, as a certified life coach, she will inspire, encourage, motivate, and empower women to be the best that they can be, by un-cluttering their lives; mind, soul and space.  She has wonderfully loving, hardworking husband, Kurt, (who supported her decision to retire in order to pursue her dream), a very grown son and two beautiful grown daughters .

The steps of a good man [woman] are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Psalm 37:23 KJV

Our Journey Continues…

What’s ahead for you in the coming year?  With the dream and vision that we have been given by the Lord will move us beyond our current understanding, desires, limitations, or obstacles.  So, as our journey continues and the Lord promises that “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, [nor have entered into the heart of man] the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9

  • We are heading in the right direction, so keep moving forward, and make every step count.
  • We must resist the desire to simply bury our gifts and talents out of fear and just move on.
  • Be willing to make changes necessary for our own good and the good of those around us.

Change is Evitable

We don’t always have to make change happen, we simply must allow it to happen and not resist it!  We must learn to manage change because we cannot avoid it. So, let’s face change head on!  There will never be the perfect time to take the next step, but if we don’t sow, we will not reap.

  • Manage your expectations, resistance or fear of change
  • Don’t wait to see what others may do
  • Don’t allow the fear of failure keep you from trying

I DID IT!

When I started Order Your Steps back in 2011, amongst other things, life coaching was one of my goals. I’d wanted to continue to learn and grow, even at my age, so coaching was a skill that I wanted to become better at. Over the years, loving my work as a professional organizer and after becoming an evangelist, the goal of life coaching simply fell off the list.

However, back in July, the idea of life coaching resurfaced and I began this journey to becoming certified. Here we are 5 months later and I DID IT!… As you may have remembered, initially, I must admit that I was a little (a LOT) apprehensive, but the excitement and the anticipation of what the Lord has for me next had won out over the fear of learning something new and wondering what’s ahead.

Ultimately, we must know that our STEPS are Ordered. I cannot begin to tell you the miraculous things that have happened on this journey. On the day that I received this text message above, I was asked to speak to a young couple that didn’t need a therapist, but just someone to listen with an impartial ear. Although, their situation was rather challenging, I spoke to them individually and allowed the Holy Spirit to do the rest. The path that the Lord has laid for me is becoming clearer and clearer….

Please keep me in your prayers as I continue to walk in my calling and Live on Purpose! ✝️

“Creating a Living Space” – Step 1 – Sorting

The “This is How we Do it!” , my new video series, has official begun … Last week, we looked at the cluttered, basement space that we are starting with.  In the end, we plan to have a peaceful, serene and organized living space.

As you may or may not know, the organizing process only has THREE (3) basic steps:

  1. SORT
  2. Purge
  3. Organize

Today, we are going to focus on “Creating a Living Space”, step 1, which is sorting!

Please take a look at this week’s video and tell us what you think…

Introducing “This is How we Do it!! ” – A New Organizing Video Series

IT’S HERE! IT’S HERE! The moment that we all have been waiting for… the first video in the “This is How we Do it” series!!

We, at “Order Your Steps” hope that these “how to” videos will help you to get your House in Order… We will show you from start to finish, how to create new, uncluttered; organized living spaces in your home.

** I apologize for the volume, but the best part is the music. So please hang in there.**

What is in your car?

When I worked for Xerox, I was a “field” manager, which meant that I spent a lot of time in my car.  Paperwork, employee files, customer info, etc. needed to be easily accessible, while I was in my car.  In addition, eating fast food while I was on the road…. was fast and a part of my daily work process.  So trash could begin to accumulate! Although my car had become my mobile office, remember, I am an organizer and my car still had to stay relatively clean and orderly.

You can believe, my car did not look like this!
