It’s a New Year!

2019 has just began and it’s time to Organize your Mind, your Body and your Space!  We would like to suggest that we think of organizing as a time “to plan and take action.” This is the best time to start new habits, to begin a new less hectic pace for our lives and possibly, a new way of thinking! We should organize our mind & body for a healthier lifestyle and plan to be more productive and more efficient in all aspects of our lives. Then we should take time to organize key areas of our homes, so that we know what we have, where we have it and be able to put our hand on it, when we need it.
We pray that this year, we will continue to seek those opportunities to operate in our passion, use the talents and gifts that the Lord have given us and fulfill His purpose for us.
Dream Big Set Goals Take Action
Take a moment to reflect on the year that has passed. Focus on our positive accomplishments and don’t dwell on the negative. It is very difficult to build for BIGGER without a foundation.  Let’s make sure we have an action plan with our goals & objectives for at least the next few months.
We have to know where we’ve been, where we are going and …how we’re going to get there!

Although it may be hard to believe… my mission is not to simply persuade you get rid of cherished possessions. With tender care, I help facilitate you through the organizing process. I must be patience, but at times, firm to guide you through making very difficult decisions. I understand the emotional attachment we have to our things that are now a lifetime of memories….

The Family Home is Just Too Big!

Some of us are transitioning into another phase of Living.  Some are considering retirement and others have already retired.  All the children grown, we are empty nesters, and  possibly the family home has just become much too big?   Maybe a smaller place with make more sense… No stairs, no lawn to mow, not as many rooms to clean!

In many cases, it’s been 25+ years in one house and we have accumulated a lifetime of stuff.  So now it is time for us to decide what we really want to keep and it may no longer be an issue of what “stuff” the children want.  Many of us are discovering that our children are not emotionally attached to the things that we hold dear.  So where do we begin? A professional organizer, like me, may be just the answer!

A Rude Awakening…

As we get older, we have discovered that our children (to put it bluntly) really don’t want our cherished possessions. I have two daughters and I was saving my wedding dress, but guess what? … So even if you are not considering moving, you may want us to help you with those somewhat cluttered areas of your family home, i.e. basement, attic, storage unit, etc.

BACK TO SCHOOL TIP FOR WEEK!

School has started… We suggest that you set the clock 30 min. early to allow a little extra time to snooze…. and time to make sure the kids get out of bed, because you may have to ask more than once. Then….
• Breakfast… VERY IMPORTANT! We all need energy to get through our day. Our children need nutrition to stay focused.
• Wash, dress and get ready.
• PRAY for your kids.
• PRAY for your patience with them! They may have had a rough day too. Reading, Writing and ‘rithmetic can be taxing on the brain.

BACK TO SCHOOL TIP OF THE WEEK!

Let’s talk about our pre-schoolers & elementary schoolers. We have bought the “school” clothes, uniforms and some of the school supplies. Our summer routine is over and the “back to school” routine begins… Now pray for your strength and patience! We’d suggest that you start preparing for each school day as early as you can. I would suggest that the day/night before…
<>Lay out the clothes, shoes, socks, etc. Leave nothing to chance.
<> Prepare the lunch (or secure the lunch money) and the book bag.

BACK TO SCHOOL WORDS OF WISDOM!

Routines take practice. Things will not always go as planned, but you do need a plan. Don’t forget to take DEEP breaths often. Take each day as it comes and be the best that we can be. We must embrace our children, no matter how old they are, even when they are doing somersaults on our very LAST nerve, they are ours and we love them more than words can describe!

The Journey of Obedience – Journal Entry #2 (March, 2018)

I don’t know about you, but when things don’t go as I plan, I normally want to change the plan (which is a NATURAL thing to do??).  However, when we’re in the midst of a SPIRITUAL Journey, the rules change!  The Lord will ask us to do things that are a tad uncomfortable (like WAITING until He tells us to take the next step!).  He takes us out of the realm of reasoning and into the spiritual realm of FAITH.  Contrary to popular belief, when we operate in faith, it does not mean that there’s the absence of doubt.  I’m now two months into this new journey and I’m struggling!

And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, …  II Corinthians 4:13 NKJV

So, I ENCOURAGED myself with this Facebook Inspiration post…

EVERY DAY….. Your journey will only get Better!!
