Did you clean out the garage?

I must start by letting you all know how grateful I am for my now OVER 300 followers.  Half of my followers are my wonderful fellow blogger friends out there and the other half are my Order Your Steps Facebook Fans (please click link to “LIKE”).  I never imagined how great the response would be to my blog.  To date, I have over 3000 hits, which may be small for some, but HUGE for me.  

I pray that you continue to visit me and find something that will be helpful, encouraging and inspires you.  This really isn’t just about putting order to your stuff, but giving you some order to your chaos in your life.

Now that I have gotten all serious on you, you REALLY need a laugh!

Your car is all clean and organized now, 

so did you clean out the garage???

Unfortunately, I can’t really endorse the garage storage cabinets (which look really nice)….

He really should have cleaned out the garage!!!!!!!

When I worked for Xerox, I was a “field” manager, which meant that I spent a lot of time in my car.  Paperwork, employee files, customer info, etc. needed to be easily accessible, while I was in my car.  In addition, eating fast food while I was on the road…. was fast and a part of my daily work process.  So trash could begin to accumulate! Although my car had become my mobile office, remember, I am an organizer and my car still had to stay relatively clean and orderly.

You can believe, my car did not look like this!

I read a very interesting article and I attempted to send it to all of my blog followers.  But since I am still somewhat technically-challenged, I am not sure what happened to it (so please let me know if you got it and I apologize if this is a duplicate).

Well, according to experts, the junk inside your car isn’t exactly ‘junk’……It actually says a lot about you! So here’s what certain types of car clutter say about your personality……Courtesy of Woman’s World Magazine: • First: What if you have a decoration hanging from your rearview mirror? Psychologist Dr. Maximillian Wachtel says hanging something from your rear-view mirror – like fuzzy dice or a stuffed baseball – is a sign that you’re confident. Why? Because the fact that you’re okay telling the world what appeals to you says you’re comfortable with who you are. • Next: What if your car is cluttered with empty water bottles? Psychologist Dr. Tina Tessina says drinking water in the car shows that you’re efficient. Why? Because even though you’re always on the go, you still stay on top of important things – like keeping yourself hydrated. • Also: What if you keep a first aid kit in your car? Obviously, this means you’re safety conscious. But a first aid kit also indicates you like being in control. Dr. Tessina says your first aid kit makes you feel like no matter what happens, you’ll be able to handle it. • And finally: What if you have an angel in your car or an angel bumper sticker? This is a sign of a positive thinker. Dr. Tessina says people who surround themselves with angels, or other symbols of hope and optimism, expect good things to happen, which makes them more positive and more satisfied with their lives. So what if you have fuzzy dice, water bottles, a first aid kit, and an angel in your car? It means you’re a confident person who’s always on top of things, and is ready to handle any situation with positive thinking. It also means you need to clean out your car!

“Junk in the Trunk” (of your car!)

First, I must let you know, as I also told my Facebook fans, I made the mistake of Googling “Junk in the Trunk”.  There are obviously different meaning for that term.  By the way, I really need to know how the filter out the sexually explicit images from Google Search.  Parents, if you haven’t already, I would strongly suggest you check into it.  I don’t have any young children now, so I am sure that I am WAY late on this one…. Moving right along!

The trunk of car or your car as a whole is no different than a room in your home or office, when it comes to organizing.  You need to know what is in your trunk and be able to put your hand on what you need quickly.  The process of sort, purge and organize still applies.

Clutter is clutter, no matter what part of your life it occupies.

I am soooo grateful!

It is such a great honor when someone takes the time to recognize your work.  My friend, Rhonda over at  “Help Me Rhonda” has nominated my little old blog for the Very Inspiring Blog Award.  She has a very creative way of stating the facts of life with a wee bit of humor.   I am very grateful to Rhonda again for the recognition.

It is getting tougher and tougher to come up with random things without telling all my business, as if I haven’t already.  I may not have “7”, but I will try…

1.  I can’t swim.  I went to this waterpark and because I didn’t want to be left out, I followed my husband on a ride for “strong swimmers”.  My husband went first and when he got to the bottom, he knew that there was no way that I would survive the terror, so we held up the whole line until I could get down.  😦

2.  I hate rollercoasters.  Really most rides, period.

3.  I can’t rollerskate.  I guess you are wondering what can she do??

3.  My mother in law lived with us for 14 years. You may let you mind wonder on that one…

4.  My favorite vacation spot is Bermuda.  I love the clear bluish purple water and the pink sand.

5.  I am studying for my Missionary’s license.  Order Your Steps is not just my business, but my ministry.

 I can’t think of anything else, Sorry!
