Planning for 2013

It is during this time of year, if not sooner, that I start to think a lot about the new year that is quickly approaching. It is the time that I not only look forward to what’s coming, but I reflect on the year that has passed.

It is interesting that when December comes, it just feels that the year has swished by…. but it really hadn’t. So I want to just share a few thoughts that are on top of my brain at the moment.

Truly a year of blessings and God’s unmerited favor granted upon me and my family!!

My son reappeared after two years with his biological father, but has disappeared again.
Retirement after 32 years and started my own business, Order Your Steps!
Finding Order in Chaos Blog created & first published and as a result, I have met and becomes “blogsphere” friends with so many interesting people from all over the world.
The Lord brought so MANY people across my path this year, just so His light could shine.

and I could go on and on and on and on…..

Revisit my goals & objectives, both personal & professional, and determine what I accomplished and what I didn’t and why.
Rewrite my To Do list, so it looks neat and legible… OK, some OCD tendencies I have not let go of yet! 🙂
Look at what I want / need to do differently in 2013 and make the necessary adjustments to my goals and objectives.
Modify my action plan, as needed.

Let’s not dwell on what we didn’t get done, but on those things that we did…

Continue to expect God’s Blessings and Unmerited Favor

and Simply Enjoy Life, one day at a time!

OK, now I am really speechless… It doesn’t get any better than this! My friend, Sheri, over at The Other Side of Ugly, The reality of humanity as seen through the eyes of an angel, which says it all, has nominated me for the “Blog of the Year 2012” Award.

This is truly a tremendous honor. But I have a bit of a dilemma, I follow so many great blogs, so it is extremely difficult to pick just a few as nominees. Otherwise, there would be over 200 blogs listed below. I am sure that I will miss one or two or three, so I am going to humbly apologize upfront.

I hope you all are having a Blessed Week! It is been awhile since I have received a blog reward… but Thanks to my Friend, Sherryl at New Visions, who took the time to make me smile by nominating my blog for the REALITY Blog Award! It came at a time when I really need a boost … a word of encouragement. It is nice to know that there are others out there they enjoy what I do, ALMOST as much as I do.

If you could change something what would you change?

From a personal perspective, I would prefer not to second guess myself. To be confident that I know what I know and if it doesn’t turn out the way I want, then it is just OK.

From a societal perspective, I would want to eliminate prejudice. We all have our issues, I am sure, but at least, get to know me first, before you decide that you don’t like me.

If you could relive one day, when would it be?

The day I had my miracle baby.

What’s one thing that really scares you?

Horror movies, but I really don’t watch ’em.

What one dream have you not completed yet, and do you think you will be able to complete it?

The Lord has promised me that Order Your Steps will be prosperous and one day I will have to hire people. By faith,I believe that it is going to happen real soon.

If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be?

This may be the one thing that scares me and I know it sounds really weird, but I would want to be my son for one day. I THINK I would like to see the world through his eyes for just one day.
