Blog Chill Day # 17

Happy Friday!

My daughter left me a stack of old pictures on the ledge in the hall for me to peruse through this morning.  For some reason, I started to cry, BECAUSE it was so overwhelming to see just  how GOOD our life has really been.  THUS …

no regretAnd neither should you!

To All my readers, I want to apologize for not posting more often.  I am going to try real hard to get an organizing post out next week. Thanks for being so patience with me.  Have a great weekend!

Blog Chill Day # 13 – Part 2

I would like to go back to Blog Chill Day # 13 for a moment.  The message in that blog post was that we can ONLY work on ourselves, we can not change the world, well you know what I mean… Many times when are lives are out of order, when things around us are in chaos, when we are in the midst of VERY difficult situations, we believe that the people around us are going to change… The husband or wife will realize that they have hurt us, the boss will understand that he/she are being unfair and unreasonable, the situation or circumstance will just turn around…. But what I have come to realize and most of us should understand is that the person that must change is YOU/ME, whether we are right or wrong.

About five (5) years ago, I hit a real low point, yes I know that it is hard to believe.  I won’t bore you with all the details, but I was in a depression.  You know the story about my son… my mother in law had been with us about 14 years…. I was over 50 (very menopausal) and tired of being taken for granted!!!!!  Yes, the  born organizer was in the midst of CHAOS.  A life without true order was very dark for me. At this point, the only place I could go was to the Lord.  I didn’t like my husband, I was willing to leave my children and as for my mother in law… no comment!

I want you all to pay REAL close attention!  What the Lord showed me was that …….  I had to change!  I kept trying to tell the Lord that I wasn’t the problem and He kept telling me that if I didn’t change THEN my situation wouldn’t change.  I don’t know when it happened, but slowly my perspective started to change.   So what am I saying?? FOCUS on YOU versus them, the situation or circumstance!  Ask the Lord to help you to work on you.  You will be amazed at how your perspective will change.  Now don’t get me wrong, life has not been perfect, but I have a PEACE now that I just cannot describe!!!!!!

Blog Chill Day #13

I pray that everyone had a Happy Resurrection Sunday!   I want to thank everyone for your gracious response to my last two posts.  I am always very grateful to know that my blog posts are read and enjoyed! However, I must apologize to all my followers for the lateness of my posts. Things are getting a little hectic, just as God promised :-), so I ain’t complaining.  I am walking in my prosperity and abundance… and I couldn’t be happier!

Now to the matter at hand.  Your inspiration for the week….  I had to read this a few times ok I was a little slow OR… you may have to read it a few times too.  Please let me know what is means to YOU????

Blog Chill Day # 11

I pray for husbands and wives everywhere.  I just celebrated 29 years of marriage.  It has not been easy, but God had done something new for our marriage.  We take time to just sit and talk with each other over a cup a coffee.  We don’t talk about money or the kids (unless it is good news), just pleasant conversation.

Reflect on your vows…. we’ve made a lifetime commitment to each other before God and witnesses. Spend quality time with each other.  Take a moment to pray together.  Renew your love for each other daily!

Your thoughts and comments are welcome.

Let’s Tackle the Closet!

If you have been paying attention, you know that to be “organized” means to be able to find what you need when you need it!  So let’s talk about tackling the closet.  It can be any closet, but I’d like to focus on the clothes closet.  It is the clothes closet that you have to face EVERY morning….

“Let’s Organize Your Closet”

Step 1 – We must know EVERY item that is in our closet.  Most of us believe that we know every item in our closet.  Do you?  I would venture to guess that you may not know every item in your closet. Some of us may have things in our clothes closet that we forgot were even there.  Is that you?

Step 2 – We must know EVERY item in our closet… which means we MUST touch every item in our closet.  Would someone please move the needle on the record?  LOL!!  But seriously, things get sucked into the black hole of our clothes closets because they get pushed further and further back where we can’t see them, thus we forget that they are there.

Step 3 – Make a decision on EVERY item in our closet… Keep, Donate, Throw Away and make the decision QUICKLY.  If you think about it too long, it is very likely that you will decide to keep it.  To the woman that has the size ___ (fill in the blank) that you are going to fit in again– it’s been 5 years — it is time to let it go.  To the man who has that favorite sweater that is two (2) sizes too small, it is time to give it away!

Step 4 – Once we have completely PURGED the entire closet, it is time for us to organize.

Step 5 – So what’s left?  There are tops, bottoms, dresses, jackets, sweaters, pants, shirts, suits, shoes, boots, etc.  Let me suggest that we put “like” items together.  Once we have grouped “like” items, it is up to you to what degree of organization that you want to go — the same color, the same sleeve length, light jackets, heavy jackets, BUT to whatever degree you go, you have to be able to MAINTAIN IT!
