Here’s a little Inspiration to carry you through the weekend and for the week to come..
Spring is ONLY 35 days away and if it appears that I am in hurry to see Spring…. I AM! 😀
However, in my neck of the woods, winter will probably linger. It “snowed” on Sunday and the sun’s out today, but who knows what’s in the forecast for the rest of the week. It is always during this time of the year that I recall the final preparations for my wedding day. My wedding anniversary is March 10, and the Thursday before, almost thirty-eight years ago… It SNOWED, no REALLY, snowed! But by my wedding day, the snow was practically all gone and the sun was shining. GO FIGURE!!
Winter gives the earth a deep cleansing and kills the germs in the air… BUT Spring is a season of rebirth, rejuvenation, resurrection and regrowth. March 20th will be here before we know, so why not start preparing for our period of renewal and Order right now.
We have 35 days and counting to get ready. I would suggest that we map out a “Spring’s Comin” plan.
I took a little break from social media for the past few weeks, so I hope that you’ve begun to tackle your closet and you are breathing a little easier. My break should have also given you a little more time to complete the two most difficult steps of the process, which were Sorting and Purging. Today we’re going to work on Organizing, the final step of the organizing process and to me, the step which is the most Fun!
We are in the homestretch of this journey and again, I ask that if you have any questions, concerns, ideas or suggestions along the way, simply leave us a comment.
Last week, we talked about REIMAGINE, REFINE AND REENERGIZE, as we nagivate through this thing called Life and to Move Forward by Faith … taking One Step at a Time!
Last week, during my morning devotions, I asked the Lord; “What does it really mean to move forward by faith?” In Hebrews 11:1, it says that Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, but I needed the Lord to speak to my specific situation. While waiting for His response, I decided to read the March Devotions written by Ms. Angie Hyche, Education Director of the Faithful Organizers and owner of ShipShape Solutions. The title was “A Godly Perspective on Your To-Do List” and her scripture was from Galatians 5:25, “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit”. I was absolutely amazed by God’s quick response. As a fellow professional organizer, Ms. Hyche spoke about how task-oriented we are and as such, we can not allow our to-do list to direct our day. We must listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and [in all things] glorify God.
“A successful day is one in which you have stayed in touch with Me, even if many things remain undone at the end of the day. Do not let your to-do list (written or mental) become an idol directing your life.”
Sarah Young, Author of Jesus Calling
Moving Forward by Faith means to seek the Lord’s Guidance and Direction with our Every step… One step at a time. Stay Tuned, there’s more to come…
So how are you doing with the laundry? The pile may begin in the spare room or on the futon in the office, but it will continues to grow! We may want to take a portion of the pile into our bedroom, fold them and put them away. It takes about 10 min., for real…
I’d venture to guess that laundry may not be your most favorite thing to do… am I right? I would also suspect that since we’re spending more time at home and we’re wearing more casual clothes (not even considering the childrens’ clothes)…
There’s so Much Laundry!
I’d like to suggest to you a system for doing your laundry. First, let me say that in my experience, the laundry process stalls at the “fold and put away” stage. For some, once we take the clothes out of the washing machine, they go into a pile somewhere and we pull from the pile when needed. Sound familiar? Well, here is a system that you make want to consider…
Hopefully that was not too elementary, but my point is… if you invest the time upfront to fold and put away, your laundry will not continue to pile up and become out of control. Many times the smallest changes can make the biggest different. Now you have one less thing to stress about.
Let’s Make it a Happy Laundry Day(s)!

“Tackling Our Closet”, our How-to course, was first introduced on YouTube back in January. We have sorted & purged the clothes in our closets and NOW it’s Time to Organize…the Very BEST PART! We are going to put our clothes in ORDER!!
Remember, we want this course to be interactive, so don’t forget to take a picture of your closet BEFORE you begin each step and I would love for you to send it to us. Just in case you get stuck along the way, I may be able to provide virtual support.
It’s a journey…. taking one step and a time!
NOTE: For Class Assignments, pictures & videos should be EMAILED (not uploaded) to cspeight8@gmail.com. Virtual Sessions available upon request.

Today, we are going to talk a little about your collection of old calendars! In most, if not all cases, we have kept our old calendars for the pictures. So today, I’d like to suggest that instead of stashing them away in the desk drawers, in a box in the closet or in the plastic bin (amongst many others) in the basement….
Why not re-purpose them??
